Kathmandu – Dr. Karma Wangchu Sherpa, who received an honorary doctorate degree from Wilmington Metropolitan University in the United States, has been honored. The Sherpa was honored at a program organized in Kathmandu on Saturday.
The program, organized by Kulung Sherbi Kidug, discussed Dr. Sherpa’s academic achievements, social contributions, and his contribution to promoting the identity of Nepali society at the international level.
The program was attended by a significant number of representatives from various organizations, intellectuals, social workers, and distinguished personalities. The speakers stated that the honor bestowed upon Dr. Sherpa has further elevated the dignity of the Nepali community at the international level and that his contribution is inspiring.
After receiving the award, Dr. Sherpa responded that he considered this award as a common achievement of the entire Nepali society and the Sherpa community, rather than a personal achievement. The program was held under the chief guestship of former Minister Ang Tshering Sherpa.
