Kathmandu. Dr. Mohammad Yunus has been appointed as the head of the interim government of Bangladesh. Nobel Prize winner Yunus has been announced as the interim head of government by President Mohammad Shahabuddin.
The Dhaka Tribune mentioned that after a meeting between the president and the coordinators of the anti-reservation student movement on Tuesday night, it was decided to form an interim government under the leadership of Yunus. Earlier on Tuesday, the President dissolved the Parliament of Bangladesh and paved the way for the formation of an interim government.
84-year-old Yunus won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006 for his anti-poverty campaign by establishing a rural bank in Bangladesh.
