FIFA World Cup football tournament is starting tomorrow in Qatar. The hosts, Qatar, will face Ecuador in the opening match.
32 teams in the tournament are divided into eight groups. 64 matches will be played in the 28-day tournament. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout rounds. The final match will be played on December 18. These matches will be played in eight stadiums in Qatar.
Opening match will also be telecast live on the social media platform Twitter. The match will start at 1200 IST at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor City.
Tesla CEO Elen Musk sent a tweet late last night inviting people to watch the first World Cup match live on Twitter. He also promised the best coverage and real-time commentary.
This is the first-ever World Cup being held in the Middle East and the second in Asia after Japan and South Korea jointly hosted the 2002 tournament.
