Fire at Turkish resort, death toll rises to 76

ANKARA. The death toll from a fire at a famous ski resort in Turkey has risen to at least 76. The Turkish Interior Ministry has reported this. Not all those killed in this fire incident have been identified.
Turkish Health Minister Kemal Memisoglu said 51 people were injured in the accident. One of these people is in ICU. The remaining 17 have been discharged from hospital. It took 12 hours to control this fire.
Turkey’s Minister of Law said that 9 people were arrested in this incident. The owner of the resort is among those arrested.
A fire broke out in the 12-storey Grand Cartel Hotel in Bolu at 3:27 am local time on Tuesday. There were 234 guests at the hotel at this time.

Bolu is located 170 kilometers northwest of the Turkish capital, Ankara. According to local reports, it took more than an hour for the fire brigade to reach the place because the temperature was extremely low.Agency
