Flooding In China,60 thousand people rescued

Beijing. Authorities have rescued about 60,000 people from the Guangdong region due to severe floods in China. Severe flooding has occurred after the rains in the densely populated area of China.

Eleven people are missing due to floods. However, no details of anyone’s death have been reported. A large area has been submerged due to floods and the scenes of people being rescued using lifeboats have been broadcast by the state media.
The embankments of many major rivers have collapsed. Officials are reportedly monitoring the dangerously high water flow. Officials have warned that the water level in that area may rise to a higher level again within 100 years.
Some cities in the provincial capital, Gunzhao, were also heavily affected by the floods. About 1.16 million houses in the area have lost power, 80 percent of which have been restored by Sunday evening. Flights have been grounded and schools have been asked to close in at least three cities. Dozens of houses in the province have been damaged. It is said that the damage from the flood is about 140.6 million yuan. BBC
