Kathmandu. Four American university professors have been injured after an unknown assailant brandished a knife in a public park in China. The injured have been admitted to the hospital.
“An Iowa College teacher was seriously injured in a serious accident at a park in Jilin Province, northern China,” the college said in a statement.
Iowa College representative Adam said, “My brother was one of the four injured in the accident. It was a stabbing.”
“A group of people were going to visit a local temple, when a man stabbed them. My brother has injured his hand and is undergoing treatment in hospital. As of now, he is admitted to hospital and his condition has improved.”
A US State Department spokesman told the BBC it had received a report of the stabbing but no further details were available.
The college said that those four teachers are teaching in partnership at a Chinese university.
However, the Chinese administration has not yet given any response to the incident.
