Kathmandu. Nepal Airlines Corporation’s narrow body aircraft NineN-AKX has been brought to Kathmandu from Israel. It was in Israel for the last three months for engine maintenance. Before that, the national flag carrier Nepal Arline had to suffer crores of financial losses because this ship, which was grounded in Nepal for a long time, could not be made flyable for a long time.
According to the spokesperson of the corporation, Ramesh Paudel, the ship landed via Dubai at 9:56 on Saturday night. The corporation argued that the 31 blades inside the engine had to be completely replaced and the lack of spare parts delayed the repair. However, in the war-torn state, the corporation did not admit its weakness regarding the issue of sending the ship to Israel.
