Hamdan bin Rashid Foundation Honors the Winners Schools in Hamdan EFQM Global Educational Model Award
Dubai : Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has recently honoured schools participating in the second cycle of Hamdan EFQM Global Educational Model Award on the sidelines of The EFQM Forum, held in Istanbul, Turkey, from June 4th to 6th.
His Excellency Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Muhairi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, said, “We are pleased to recognize the outstanding schools participating and excelling in the first cycle of Hamdan EFQM Global Educational Model Award. Our goal is to acknowledge and celebrate institutions, initiatives, and individuals who demonstrate excellence in the educational sector. This initiative also aims to build a comprehensive quality education system and disseminate best practices across various schools. These efforts align with the objectives of Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences, which continuously strives to stay up-to-date with the advancements in education and implement the highest standards of international and technological excellence. In collaboration with EFQM, we have developed and implemented a globally recognized model for educational quality, which has been instrumental in enhancing educational standards worldwide.”
His Excellency added, “Hamdan model incorporates advanced standards to ensure quality requirements in educational institutions, offering clear methodologies for achieving and sustaining excellence. He congratulated the honoured schools, praising the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and the dedication of working teams, educators, and experts who contributed to the success of the program’s first cycle.”

The participating schools were honoured as follows: Award winner Qatar Al Nada Secondary School from Abu Dhabi, UAE, and received a 6-star rating; Emirates National Private School from Al Ain, UAE, received a 4-star rating; GEMS Modern Academy from Dubai, UAE, received a 4-star rating; The American School of Creative Science from Sharjah, UAE, received a 3-star rating; Al Zaidiyah Government Girls School from Al Ain, UAE, received a 3-star rating; and Fatima bint Al Yaman Government School from Kuwait received a 3-star rating.
It is worth mentioning that Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences launched ‘Hamdan EFQM Educational Model’ in partnership with EFQM Foundation. This innovative model aims to improve the quality of education and educational outcomes in schools within the UAE and globally by adopting and applying the model’s standards and principles, crafted by an international team of experts adhering to the best global practices.
