Hasina accused of missing 3500 people in Bangladesh

Dhaka. Former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is living in exile in India, has been accused of another crime. The interim government of Bangladesh led by Mohammad Yunus has said that Hasina has a hand in the disappearance of 3,500 people.
This has also been proven in the investigation. The Commission of Inquiry investigated the case of enforced disappearance. The report titled ‘Unveiling the Truth’ says that Hasina and several other senior officials were involved in these cases.
In a program held at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka, the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government, Professor Muhammad Yunus, was presented the investigation report by the Chairman of the Commission, Justice Mainul Islam Chaudhary. The Commission said that out of 1,676 complaints of enforced disappearances, 758 complaints have been investigated so far. The Commission estimates that the total number of missing persons exceeds 3,500. The report also recommends disbanding the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) as the role is controversial.
