The Election Commission (EC) has decided to depute volunteers in all wards across the country to conduct voter education programmes ahead of the House of Representatives (HoR) election scheduled for March 5. According to the EC, voter education volunteers will be mobilised in all 6,743 voting stations through the District Election Offices. The initiative aims to inform voters about the election process, voting procedures and related responsibilities. Assistant Spokesperson of the EC, Kul Bahadur GC, said that experienced child development facilitators, women health volunteers and community service centre operators will be appointed as voter education volunteers. He added that the process of appointing volunteers has already begun.
