Kathmandu. In the year 2023, the United States granted citizenship to 878,000 foreigners. According to the report of the US Citizenship and Immigration Service, in 2023, 878,500 foreigners from around the world took US citizenship.
According to the report, 12.7 percent of Mexicans, 6.7 percent of Indians, 5.1 percent of the Philippines, 4 percent of Dominicans, and 3.8 percent of Cubans have been granted citizenship by the United States.
111,500 Mexicans, 59,100 Indians, 44,800 Filipinos, and 35,200 Dominicans are among those who have received citizenship. Similarly, 33 thousand 200 from Cuba, 32 thousand 800 from Vietnam, 25 thousand 800 from China, 21 thousand 100 from El Salvador, 20 thousand 200 from Jamaica, 17 thousand 100 from Colombia have taken American citizenship.
Apart from these, 477 thousand 800 have taken citizenship from other countries.
