Kathmandu. The Nepali National Cricket Team won the first practice match against Windwards Volcanoes. Nepal won last night’s game by 4 wickets.
Along with this, Nepal has taken a 1-0 lead in the three match series. Chasing the target of 197 runs given by Winwards, Nepal completed it in 19.3 overs by losing 6 wickets. For Nepal, opener Kushal Bhurtel scored 71 off 42 balls and Dipendra Singh Airi scored 52 runs off 25 balls. Likewise, Sompal Kami remained unbeaten on 35 runs.
Earlier, Winwards, who batted first, scored 196 runs in 20 overs losing 8 wickets.
Nepal, which is preparing for the World Cup, will play two more practice matches with Winwards Volcanoes. Nepal will now play the second practice match on May 16 and the third on May 18.
