India will establish 10 customs offices in Bihar to increase trade with Nepal

Indian Home Minister Amit Shah has informed that India is establishing 10 customs offices in Bihar with the aim of strengthening international trade businesses with Nepal.

The new ‘Land Customs Station’ (LCS) offices, will handle transit, customs services, immigration services and cargo. Similarly, these offices will also provide services in the export-import sector as well as transportation for passengers.

India has advanced the plan to establish a total of 19 such offices to be added at the Nepal-India border crossing, out of which, 10 offices will be opened in the state of Bihar only. The 10 offices will be established in different districts of Bihar, like Krishnaganj, Sitamarhi, Supal, Madhubani, West Champaran, etc.
