Israel strikes Yemen’s Hodeidah: Many suspected dead

Israel’s military says it has struck an area in Yemen linked to the Houthi militia. Many were reportedly killed in attacks by military groups. The Yemeni Houthi military group claimed to have targeted oil storage and electricity facilities in Yemen’s Red Sea port city of Hodeida. Yemen has said that it has not been able to determine the exact number of people who died.

The Houthis said the drone strike was in support of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which is currently under Israeli attack. Hodeida, along with several northern cities, including the capital Sana’a, has been under the control of the Houthi group since late 2014, pushing the internationally recognized government into southern and eastern provinces.
