Legalization of marijuana in Germany

Kathmandu. Germany is going to legalize marijuana from April 1st. Along with this, German citizens will also be allowed to consume marijuana in public places.

Although Germany has legalized the use of marijuana, some conditions have been kept. Only 25 grams of marijuana can be kept in public places and 50 grams in private houses.
Health Minister Karl Lauterbach said that because of the strict laws, the government loosened the rules when young people began to fall into the habit of marijuana. He said that even if marijuana is legalized, marijuana cafes will not be allowed to open in the country.
When the government decided to legalize marijuana, the opposition opposed it. They have accused the government of encouraging drug use.
The opposition Conservatives have said that if they come to government next year, they will completely repeal this law.
