More than 1.14 million tourists visited Nepal in 2024

 

More than 1.14 million tourists visited Nepal in 2024. According to the Nepal Tourism Board, 1.147 million 24 people have entered Nepal as of this morning.

Board Director Marinraj Lamichhane said that an average of 3,000 tourists visited Nepal daily, an increase of more than 14 percent compared to 2023. 1.197 million 191 foreign tourists visited Nepal in 2019. This is the first year that more tourists visited Nepal after the Corona pandemic. From 2020 to 2022, tourist arrivals were mostly at a standstill.
According to the statistics of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for the last six months, Nepal’s tourism has recovered by 96 percent after the Covid-19.
Nepal Premier League NPL, World Buddhist Conference, International ‘Balloon’ Festival, ‘Dragon Boat’ Festival as well as fairs and exhibitions organized nationally and internationally have also increased the tourism arrival.
