More than a million civilians are being asked to immediately evacuate their Israel homes for their ‘safety

Israeli army orders civilians to evacuate Gaza City

Jerusalem. Israeli forces ordered about half of Gaza’s 2.3 million people to evacuate the city on Friday, a United Nations official said. After the terrible attack of Hamas on Israel, the army gave the order before the ground attack with the aim of eliminating the Hamas militant group.

With this order, civilians and aid workers, who have been facing Israeli airstrikes and blockades, have been terrified. The Israeli army warned millions of citizens of Gaza City to flee to the deep southern Gaza Strip (narrow coastal area) and ordered the evacuation of Gaza City in the morning.

It was alleged at the behest of Israel that Hamas fighters were hiding under tunnels in Gaza City. “This eviction is for your own safety”, the Israeli army said in a warning sent to the citizens of Gaza City.

On Thursday, the United Nations said it had received a separate directive from the Israeli military in New York, giving all 1.1 million civilians in northern Gaza 24 hours to flee south.

Hamas, which has ruled Gaza since 2007, rejected the order. He called on Palestinians to remain in their homes and persevere in the face of the psychological warfare waged by the occupation.

“It’s chaos, nobody knows what to do,” said Inas Hamdan, an official at the United Nations Palestinian Refugee Agency in Gaza City. He said that all UN staff in Gaza City and northern Gaza have been asked to evacuate to southern Rafah
