The Nepal Britain Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NBCCI) has elected a new Executive Committee during its Extraordinary General Body Meeting (EGM) held in Kathmandu. The newly appointed committee will lead the Chamber for the next three years.

The meeting, which brought together prominent figures from Nepal’s corporate, banking, development, and trade sectors, was chaired by the outgoing President, Rajendra K. Khetan.

A significant moment of the EGM was the conferment of the title of President Emeritus upon outgoing President Rajendra K. Khetan. The General Body officially acknowledged his outstanding contributions, commendable leadership, and pivotal role in strengthening the Chamber, according to a press release issued by the NBCCI.

The General Body unanimously endorsed the new Executive Committee, which includes Dr. Roshan Rathi of LCCI Global Qualifications Pvt. Ltd. as President, Piyush Raj Aryal of Laxmi Sunrise Bank Ltd. as Vice President, and Bidhyavaridi Sigdel of Dolma Impact Fund as Treasurer. The committee is further composed of Sarad Banjara of Genese Solutions as General Secretary, Govind Shahi of Unilever Nepal Ltd. as Deputy General Secretary, and Executive Members Yemi Karki of Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Ltd., Shiv Prakash Khemka of Mahavir Shree International, and Nilu Basnyat of DAI Global, with Immediate Past President Rajendra K. Khetan serving as an Ex-Officio member.

This newly constituted committee, representing a strong blend of expertise spanning finance, trade, and multinational corporations, is expected to inject fresh momentum into NBCCI’s mission.
