Ncell Foundation has announced it will distribute 2,428 educational kits to students of government and community schools across Nepal, fulfilling its commitment made during the Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2.

Under its ‘4s for 4’ social initiative, Ncell pledged to provide four educational kits for every four hit during the tournament. A total of 607 boundaries were recorded by 99 players in Season 2, translating into 2,428 kits.

Adam Rossington of Pokhara Avengers contributed the highest number of fours-31-resulting in 124 kits, followed by D’Arcy Short of Lumbini Lions with 104 kits and Binod Bhandari of Sudurpaschim Royals with 92 kits.

Each educational kit includes a school bag, notebooks and essential stationery to address shortages of learning materials in public schools. The distribution will be carried out in coordination with the Cricket Association of Nepal, local authorities and implementing partner Karmayog Foundation.

“We would like to extend our heartiest congratulations and gratitude to all the players who contributed to this meaningful social initiative. Their performances not only strengthened their teams on the field but also expanded support for education beyond the boundary lines,” said Bishakha Laxmi Khadka, Corporate Communications and Sustainability Director at Ncell. “Like last year, we will be distributing these educational kits in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure they reach students from the government schools who need them the most.”

Ncell said the initiative reflects its effort to convert sporting enthusiasm into tangible educational support. During the first NPL season last year, the foundation pledged 2,612 kits, contributing to the distribution of more than 9,000 educational kits nationwide to date.
