Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman al-Thani has said today that negotiations the Gulf Arab state is leading to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza are progressing. Staying hopeful, he said, there is some progress and some breakthrough.
According to media reports, more than 200 people are still being held hostage by Hamas. On other hand, eight Syrian soldiers were killed and seven wounded by Israeli strikes on military positions in the southern province of Daraa today.
Israel’s military also confirmed it attacked Syrian targets. The military said, its fighter jets carried out a strike on military infrastructure and mortar launchers after rockets were fired across the border.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian health ministry in Gaza said, at least 6,546 people have been killed in Israeli attacks since October 7th, including 756 in the last 24 hours.
