Kathmandu: Nepal recorded 68 new cases of COVID-19 along with 538 recoveries and two fatalities from the deadly virus on Sunday, according to the latest information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 4,929 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 54 PCR and 14 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.
There are currently 6,517 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 6,338 are in self-isolation, 123 in institutional isolation, 47 in ICU’s and nine on ventilators. Similarly, 108 people are currently in quarantine facilities. So far, 11,947 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded nine cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, five cases were recorded in Kathmandu, and four in Lalitpur districts.
