Nepal to host the 8th edition of the South Asian Travel Awards, announces Nepal Tourism Board

Kathmandu: Nepal to host the 8th edition of the South Asian Travel Awards, announces Nepal Tourism Board CEO Nandini Thapa. This began in 2016, the 7th edition was held in India.

This marks the 8th edition of SATA, continuing its tradition of recognizing outstanding achievements in South Asian hospitality.

Supported by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Hotels Association of Nepal (HAN), the festivities will kick off with a grand Cocktail event on  19 September, 2024, at The Malla Hotel. Designed as a prime networking opportunity, the evening aims to foster connections among key players in the business, providing a platform for meaningful collaborations.

Following this, on September 20th, 2024, cocktails will take center stage at Aloft Kathmandu. This highly anticipated event will recognize and reward outstanding achievements in South Asian hosting, showcasing the pinnacle of hospitality excellence.

Previous editions of SATA have been held in Mount Lavinia, Addu City, Mumbai, Galle City, Male’ Atoll, and Bengaluru. One edition was conducted virtually during the pandemic, demonstrating SATA’s adaptability and commitment to celebrating excellence in challenging times.
