Kathmandu: Nepal wins the match against Papua New Guinea by 7 wickets in ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 match.

Nepal restricting the Papuans to 173/8 and closing out the win with seven wickets and 13 overs to spare. Sompal Kami and Sandeep Lamichhane were the stand-outs in another impressive showing from the Nepal attack, each taking two wickets as PNG again failed to pass 200, having now gone 16 matches without reaching that milestone. Despite their own recent poor form with the bat, Nepal made light work of the chase as Kushal Bhurtel and Aarif Sheikh posted half-centuries, with Rohit Paudel contributing an unbeaten 44 to see Nepal comfortably home.

The four points that Nepal take home from the tour keep them in contention for a top-three finish and direct progress to the World Cup Qualifier, having won six of their twelve matches thus far with two of their three home series still to come.
