Kathmandu. The government has decided to recall the ambassadors of 11 countries, including India and America. The cabinet meeting held on Thursday decided to recall Nepali ambassadors to India, America, UK, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Malaysia, Spain, Denmark, Israel, Qatar and Portugal. In India Dr. Shankar Sharma, Sridhar Khatri in America, Gyan Chandra Acharya are ambassadors in UK. On 11 October 2078, the Sher Bahadur Deuba-led government decided to recommend them as ambassadors.
Similarly, Navraj Subedi in Saudi Arabia, Jyoti Pakurel in South Korea, Dilliraj Poudel in Malaysia, Sharmila Parajuli Dhakal in Spain, Prof. Dr. Ramsuraj Yadav and Kanta Rizal are ambassadors in Israel. On 24 Chait 2078, the Deuba-led government recommended 11 ambassadors including them. At that time, Nepali ambassador to China Bishnupukar Shrestha and Milan Tuladhar to Russia were not called back.
Nepalese ambassador to Qatar Dr. Naresh Vikram Dhakal was. He who was appointed on 26th June 2079 has also been recalled. The government has also recalled Nepali ambassador to Portugal, Sanil Nepal.
On 23 October 2080, the Prachanda government decided to keep the embassy in Portugal and recommended the name of Nepal as ambassador under the insistence of the Congress. He got the appointment only on 24th January 2080 after completing the parliamentary hearing process.
