The Nepal Stock Exchange advanced by 27.19 points on Thursday, marking a 1.01 percent rise to close at 2,708.70. Total transaction value exceeded Rs 11.58 billion. The Sensitive Index also moved upward, gaining 0.98 percent to settle at 460.48. Trading activity included 35.57 million shares of 326 companies through 108,817 transactions. Most sectoral indices posted gains, with hydropower and non-life insurance leading the rise, while the trading sector slipped. Share prices increased for 201 companies and declined for 55. Kalinchowk Darshan and Modi Energy reached their upper circuit limits. Union Hydropower recorded the highest turnover at Rs 587.7 million, while Super Madi Hydropower posted the biggest loss.
