Kathmandu : Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has stated that he will take the party forward as a united whole in the coming days.

Speaking to the media before the Central Working Committee meeting today following the Election Commission’s recognition of the second special convention of the Nepali Congress, he said they would forget past bitterness and move forward united as a party in the days to come.

He emphasized that the decision made by the Election Commission should be accepted and to the party moved forward accordingly in the coming days.

“We will move forward together with senior leaders within the party and bringing in new youth, seeking the role of guardianship and stewardship of former President Sher Bahadur Deuba, and in a day or two, we are trying to create an environment where the entire Congress stands together,” he said.

He expressed his determination to move the party forward by including everyone, citing the pressure of time as the deadline to finalise candidates for the election on March 5 approaches.
