PM Oli to leave for Beijing on official visit to China today

Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is leaving for Beijing today for a four-day visit to China. This is Oli’s first official foreign visit after four and a half months since he was appointed as the Prime Minister for the fourth time.

Prime Minister Oli is leaving for Beijing at 11 am today by Himalayan Airlines. During the visit, Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to meet with the President of China, the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Chinese Congress on Tuesday. Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to meet with the Nepali delegation and individually, and important agreements between the two sides are scheduled to be signed on November 18. On the third day of the visit, on Wednesday, Prime Minister Oli will address a gathering of Nepali and Chinese businessmen and will also visit some places.

He will participate in a program organized by the Nepali Embassy in the evening. On the same day, Prime Minister Oli is also scheduled to address a program organized at Peking University in Beijing.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also informed that preparations are underway to sign agreements on development infrastructure and connectivity trade during the Prime Minister’s visit to China. The Prime Minister’s schedule for this visit to China is very busy and there are no other programs other than the ones scheduled, said Amrit Rai, Acting Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prime Minister Oli will return home on Thursday afternoon after completing his four-day visit to China. The Prime Minister’s visiting team will consist of about 90 people from the government and private sectors.
