Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Swarnim Wagle has taken the lead in Tanahun 1 by-election

Kathmandu: Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Swarnim Wagle has taken the lead in Tanahun 1 by-election. Swarnim Wagle, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate, has received 11,000 votes, according to the most recent figures. Wagle has so far garnered 11,677 votes.

Govinda Bhattarai, the Nepali Congress candidate who is running with Wagle, has received 6,787 votes. Bhattarai, who was previously down by double digits, has narrowed the vote difference with Wagle. The gap between him and Wagle is now 4,890.

Sarbendra Khanal of the CPN-UML is in third place with 3,803 votes. Similarly, Rastriya Prajatantra Party candidate Shobha Gurung received 53 votes. The Tanahun-1 by-election on Sunday received 63,757 votes.
