After months of dominating Kiev on the battlefield, Russia on Sunday claimed two more eastern Ukrainian villages.
Moscow said its forces had captured the small village of Spirny further north in the Donetsk region, near the border with neighboring Lugansk region.
The Russian-occupied village is located in the north-west of Ocheratyn, Ukraine.
For weeks, Moscow has been regularly claiming new villages in eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian forces are fighting to stop them
After pushing further west into the Donetsk region, Russia’s Ministry of Defense said its forces had “liberated” the settlement of Novoleksandrivka.
Moscow’s attack on Ukraine has been ongoing for almost two and a half years. Agency
