Russia has raised concerns about the possibility of Ukraine getting F-16 fighter jets from the United States. Russia’s Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said that the transfer of F-16 jets to Ukraine will raise concerns about NATO’s involvement in the confrontation between Russia and Ukraine. In a statement, Russia’s Ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov said that the F-16 cannot operate in Ukraine because of a lack of infrastructure, pilots, and maintenance personnel. He added it is important that the United States be fully aware of the Russian response.
Meanwhile, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy reiterated that he is confident about getting the F-16 fighter jets from the United States and has assured US President Joe Biden that the fighter jets will not be used in the Russian territories.
