Spain wins gold in men’s soccer at the Paris Olympics

Kathmandu. Spain won the men’s football gold in the Paris Olympics by defeating the host France 5-3 in extra time. Sergio Camelo scored two goals in extra time in the final on Friday night in Paris.
This is the second gold that Spain has won in men’s football at the Olympics. Earlier in 1992, Spain won the gold. In 1984, for the first time in football, France’s desire to win gold at home could not be fulfilled.
30 minutes of extra time was added after the scheduled 90-minute match ended in a 3-3 draw. While Kamelo made Spain’s lead 4-3 by scoring in the 100th minute, he secured Spain’s victory by scoring his second personal goal in the injury time of extra time. Enzo Milot scored in the 11th minute to take the lead. But Fermin Lopez scored the equalizing goal for Spain in the 18th minute. It was Permin who scored in the 25th minute to give Spain a 2-1 lead. Alex Baena scored in the 28th minute to give Spain a 3-1 lead after half an hour in the first half.
At the appointed time, Spain showed signs of winning the match. But France made a comeback too. In the 79th minute, Magnes Achliucho scored a goal to make the game 3-2. Then in the injury time of the second half, after Jean Philippe Mateta scored a penalty, France tied the match 3-3 and sent it to extra time. Spain won the match with Kamelo becoming the hero in extra time.
