A strong earthquake has occurred in Japan. According to the US Geological Survey, an earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale occurred in southern Japan.
According to the Japanese television NHK World, after the earthquake, a tsunami warning has been issued in Miyazaki, Kochi, Oita, Kagoshima and other places.
The details of the damage caused by the earthquake have not yet come.
The Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, has issued a directive asking for the timely rescue of citizens in the affected areas.
