ICC T20 Cricket World Cup, England defeated Sri Lanka by four wickets in the final league match of Group 1 at Sydney today. With this win, England reached the semi-finals while defending champions and hosts Australia have been knocked out.
Earlier, opting to bat first after winning the toss, the Sri Lankan team posted 141 for 8 in the stipulated 20 overs. Chasing a target of 142 runs, England reached the target in 19.4 overs losing 4 wickets. For England Alex Hales top scored with 47 runs.
