The journalist who leaked the group chat of the plan to attack the Houthis was declared as “Anti-Trump”
Kathmandu– The US President’s office, the White House, has recently declared the journalist who leaked group chats and secret messages of senior security and military officials as ‘anti-Trump’.
White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt has labeled Atlantic magazine editor Jeffrey Goldberg as an “anti-Trump”. However, journalist Goldberg was mistakenly added to a group chat between US officials by the US Secretary of Defense.
Press secretary Levitt has insisted that the leaked message does not contain any classified information. The group chat message recently published by The Atlantic mentions that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth responded with an emoji. It has been claimed that there was talk about US air strike plan against Houthi rebels.
Hegseth said in a message, ‘It has recently been confirmed that we are ready for mission launch. And, to carry out a drone strike at 14:15. (which will drop light bombs at a certain time).’
Earlier, US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard told a House committee that it was “a mistake” to include a journalist in a high-level conversation about airstrikes.
According to journalist Goldberg, the most sensitive message from the top American military and intelligence officials was not planned to be published, because the White House tried to downplay it, so now the public will draw its own conclusions. Agency
