Tourists started coming to Kanchenjunga area

Fungling. With the beginning of the arrival of tourists, tourists have started coming to Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world.

Tourists come to the Kanchenjunga mountain   region twice a year. After the end of the first season, the second season has started. From March to the third week of May, domestic and foreign tourists come to Kanchenjunga region. According to the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Management Council, 60 foreign tourists arrived in the Ghunsa settlement of the Kanchenjunga region last Wednesday.

Tasi Tenjing, tourism assistant of the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Management Council, said that the hotel on the footpath to Kanchenjunga has opened with the arrival of tourists. He said that in the first season, 650 foreign tourists came to the Kanchenjunga region. He informed that there is no record of domestic tourist arrivals. Last year only 439 foreign tourists visited the Kanchenjunga region.

There are 52 small hotels operating in this area targeting the tourists coming to Kanchenjunga. Singhi Namjog Hotel has also come into operation in Paktanglung Rural Municipality-6 Gapla with an investment of 7 million.
