Kathmandu: U.S. Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry met with the members of the local community in New Padampur and talked about how the economic opportunities provided through USAID’s HariyoBan II helped them.
In Chitwan, U.S. Ambassador to Nepal & USAID/Nepal MD also met w/the community members of New Padampur. USAID provided the resettled community w/various alternate livelihood generation activities. This helped 185 women earn income without using timber products, thereby conserving the forest.
