Kathmandu-Member of the House of Representatives Eknath Dhakal has a courtesy meeting with the Speaker of the Malaysian House of Representatives Johari bin Abdul. In the meeting at the Malaysian Parliament Building, MP Dhakal held the opinion that the friendly relations between Nepal and Malaysia should be raised to a higher level through parliamentary diplomacy. Parliamentarian Dhakal on behalf of the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nepal, Debraj Ghimiri, wished the Malaysian Speaker and requested for a friendly visit to Nepal at an appropriate time. MP Dhakal also urged Speaker Johari to take necessary initiatives for the welfare of the large number of Nepalese in Malaysia. In the meeting, there was also a discussion on inter-parliamentary initiatives for mutual relations and peace and cooperation at the regional level and expanding continuous dialogue between the representatives of the people of Nepal and Malaysia. Dhakal, who is also a former minister, is on a three-day friendly visit to Malaysia. Dhakal is a member of the International Relations and Tourism Committee of the Representative Assembly.
