The joint war exercise of American and Indian forces has started in Alaska, USA. This is a joint strategic exercise as part of ongoing military exercises between the two countries.
Indian Army officials said that troops from both the countries conducted exercises in Alaska on Friday. A contingent of the Indian Army has recently reached Alaska to participate in the exercise.
Military officials said it would facilitate exchange of best practices and experiences, facilitate learning from each other, enhance interoperability and strengthen ties between the armies of the two countries.
The joint war exercise will be conducted till October 21. The Alaska version of the exercise involves 350 soldiers of the Indian Army.
