USAID Assistant Administrator of the Bureau for Asia Michael Schiffer recently visited Nepal to reaffirm USAID’s commitment to the country’s development partnership.

During his visit, AA Schiffer also helped launch two new USAID activities:The Global Health Security activity is aimed at improving the health status of every citizen in Nepal by strengthening the country’s health systems, disease surveillance and response capacity.

The USAID Agricultural Inputs activity will help over 200,000 farmers boost agricultural productivity, improve nutrition, and increase farmers’ incomes through improved access to seeds, fertilizers, and better machinery.
