Visit Nepal Year 2025 announced

Kathmandu, Energy, Water and Irrigation Minister Deepak Khadka has informed that the necessary infrastructure construction and upgrading work for the development of Nepal’s tourism sector is progressing rapidly.

He said that Gautam Budh International Airport and Pokhara International Airport have been put into operation and the upgrading of other domestic airports including Tribhuvan Airport are examples of this.

Bhaktapur Municipality, Government of Nepal Ministry of Culture and Civil Aviation, Chinese Embassy, and Nepal Tourism Board jointly organized a program organized in Bhaktapur to announce ‘Visit Nepal Year 2025’.

On this occasion, the festival was inaugurated by unveiling the logo of the Chinese New Year 2025 and the official banner of the Visit Nepal Year.

Minister Khadka said in the program, ‘Visit Nepal Year 2025’ and ‘Chinese New Year 2025’ program will strengthen Nepal-China relations. ‘Various cultural programs will be organized at various places in the valley to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Nepal government is taking all necessary initiatives to make Nepal an excellent destination for international tourists, he said.
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chhan Sang, Bhaktapur City Mayor Sunil Prajapati, Deputy Mayor Rajni Joshi, and Nepal Tourism Board CEO Deepak Raj Joshi expressed Chinese New Year greetings at the program. They emphasized the need to expand Nepal-China relations to the economic, social, and cultural sectors.
Cultural songs and dances reflecting the life of Bhaktapur and Chinese people were presented at the festival. A cultural rally from the Durbar area to Taumadhi made the program more attractive. The program concluded with a group photo session with the artists participating in the festival.

Visit Nepal Year 2025 is expected to usher in a new era in Nepal’s tourism development. It is believed that this program will be an important milestone in establishing Nepal on the world tourism map.
