Kathmandu: Russian President Vladimir Putin has reached Beijing for a two-day visit to China. This visit is said to have taken place on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia.
Putin’s visit to Beijing after Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Europe has been watched with interest by Western countries. Russia has continued to attack Ukraine for more than two years. Because of this, some of its allied countries, including the US, have imposed more than 16,000 sanctions on Russia.
China supports Russia. China, which is standing in support of Russia at the UN forum, is also accusing the western countries of providing weapons for the Russian army. China has denied this and said that it wants to play the role of mediator in the Russia-Ukraine war. But he did not criticize the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.
In a conversation with Xinhua shortly after Beijing, Russian President Putin said that China and Russia share the same view on international agenda. Russian President Putin has been convicted of war crimes by an international court. In such a situation, there is a risk of arrest on him during his foreign visit, but there is no such possibility in China, according to the analysis of international media.
