1.7 million Afghans living as refugees return home

Kathmandu, In the last 12 months, a total of 1.779 thousand 603 Afghan refugees have returned to their homeland from Pakistan, Iran and other countries.

It is said that there are 7 million refugees abroad and 3 million displaced inside Afghanistan. It is said that there are around 46 townships for refugees in around 29 provinces in Afghanistan.
He said the Ministry has signed 93 MoUs with its partner institutions, 7 agencies and 14 academic institutions during this period to address the problems faced by Afghan migrants and returnees.

During that period, with the help of international aid organizations, more than 788,000 Afghan internally displaced and returnee families have received financial, food and non-food items.
