Kathmandu: Kathmandu Gorkhas have defeated Pokhara Avengers by 13 runs in the ongoing Nepal Premier League 2025.
Chasing Kathmandu’s 166 runs target, Pokhara scored 152 runs after losing all their wickets.
Rishi Dhawan top-scored for Pokhara with 54 runs, but it was not enough for the win. Dhananjaya Lakshan scored 30 runs, Captain Kushal Bhurtel added 22 runs.
For Kathmandu, Shahab Alam took six wickets including a hat-trick while captain Karan KC and Sunny Patel took two wickets each.
Losing the toss at Kirtipur-based Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kathmandu Gorkhas were invited to bat first.
For Gorkhas, Ben Charlesworth top scored with 64 runs. Bhim Sharki scored a half-century. He was dismissed for 55 runs in 23 balls.
With this victory, Kathmandu Gorkhas are qualified to the playoffs.
