‘Nepal-Bangladesh Economic Cooperation’ organized by the Nepali Embassy in Rajshahi, Bangladesh

Kathmandu : Nepali Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ghanashyam Bhandari, has said bilateral economic cooperation between Nepal and Bangladesh is expanding in energy trade, investment and tourism sectors.

An event on ‘Nepal-Bangladesh Economic Cooperation’ organized by the Nepali Embassy in Rajshahi, Bangladesh on Friday evening, he said that the role of the business community is important in strengthening the relations between the two countries. He also called on the participants to further deepen cooperation with Nepali business partners in areas of mutual interest.

On the occasion, First Secretary of the Embassy, Yojana Bomjan, gave a detailed presentation on the major areas of Nepal-Bangladesh economic cooperation, highlighting possibilities of expanding cooperation in areas including trade, investment, networking, education and people-to-people contacts, according to a statement released by the Nepali Embassy in Bangladesh.

During the interaction, Ambassador Bhandari responded to questions and concerns raised by the participants of the event.

Representatives from various government agencies and business associations based in Rajshahi attended the event. Also present were representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, prominent businesspersons, travel and tour entrepreneurs, media persons, among others.
