CPN-UML Chair and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has filed his candidacy for the House of Representatives from Jhapa-5.

Oli submitted his nomination at the Election Officer’s office located in Damak Municipality, Ward No. 8.

Jhapa-5 has emerged as a high-profile constituency, with the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) fielding Balen Shah and CPN-UML projecting Oli as its prime ministerial candidate.

Earlier, Oli had inspected public structures in Jhapa-5 that were set on fire on September 8 and 9.
