Kathmandu: Bangladesh is going to decide whether to play the ICC T20 World Cup or not. The International Cricket Council (ICC) board meeting held on Wednesday decided to allow Scotland to participate in the World Cup if it refuses to play in India.
The ICC has set a deadline of Thursday for Bangladesh to decide whether to play the World Cup in India or not. Due to the recent political conflict between Bangladesh and India, Bangladesh had stated that they would face security challenges in India and wanted to play all their matches in Sri Lanka.
The Pakistan Cricket Board also supported Bangladesh in this decision. However, the ICC rejected Bangladesh’s proposal. On Tuesday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wrote to the ICC stating that the request of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) was valid.
