Nigeria: 137 abducted children released

Nigeria. At least 137 children abducted by armed groups have been released in Nigeria earlier this month. The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, informed about this on Sunday.
In an interview published on Channels Television in Nigeria, Sani informed that he met the families of the children. He said, “I am happy, the family is happy, we are all happy that the children have been rescued.”
However, he said that one of the teachers died while he was in captivity. He did not reveal the reason of death.
On March 7, it was reported that more than 300 students studying at LEA Primary and Secondary School in Kuriga village were kidnapped by armed groups. The group threatened to kill all the children, demanding a ransom of 620,000 US dollars.CNN
