Kathmandu: An Earthquake of magnitude 7.1 hit Nepal early this morning. As per USGS Earthquakes, its epicentre was 93 km northeast of Lobuche at 6.35 am. Tremors were felt in the entire Kathmandu Valley. Social media reports said residents woke up from their sleep as the tremors shook houses and buildings. People were seen rushing out of their homes. There are however yet no reports of damage. Tremors were also felt in Tibet, besides Bihar and West Bengal. Details are awaited.
