New Delhi: In a sensational incident, two Nepalese minor girls were gang-raped in the Haraiyya area of Balrampur district.

The police have arrested four youths in this connection. Superintendent of Police, Balrampur, Rajesh Kumar, said the Gangsters Act and the National Security Act would be invoked on accused Ramchandra, Rajendra, Rakesh and Pintu.

The incident took place on Sunday when the two girls from Nepal’s Dong district had come to the weekly Manipur Bazaar in the border area, police said.

The four accused stopped them on the way and allegedly raped them in a forest. The girls went back to their homes and narrated the ordeal to their family members after which the families approached the Nepal Police which then reached out to the Haraiyya police station.

A case was registered and the arrests were made, the SP said. The case would be heard in a fast-track court, he said.

The girls were sent for medical examination and further investigations are underway.

In another incident, a 13-year-old boy was killed by his colleagues over a petty dispute in Moradabad.

According to a report, Mohammad Raza (13) son of Rashid Ali, a resident of Chamraua, was a fifth standard student in the primary school of the village. On Sunday morning, he left the house to attend tuition classes. About a kilometer away from the house, Raza got into an argument with two teenagers of the village. Both called another friend. After this, all three attacked Mohammad Raza. The student fainted after being brutally beaten up by his colleagues.

Rashid claimed that he and his wife Ruksana rushed to the spot after learning of the attack and found their son lying unconscious and took him to a private hospital on Delhi Road but the doctors pronounced him dead.

After getting information about the death, Mundhapande police reached the hospital and sent the body for autopsy. Later, on the complaint of Rashid, police registered a case against seven people in connection with the murder. Those booked include Aleel Azim, Khaleel, Salim and Muslim, all residents of Chamraua. Further investigations are on and efforts are being made to nab the accused.
