A quarter of a million people are homeless in Gaza: United Nations

 

Gaza. According to the United Nations, after the countermeasures launched by Israel, about 1.5 million civilians in Gaza Strip have left their homes. According to the UN, more than 123,000 people have become homeless in Gaza due to fear and concern for their safety after the destruction of their houses.
2.3 million Palestinians live in Gaza. Israel warned people in some areas to leave their homes before launching a retaliatory operation on Saturday.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “I tell the people living in Gaza, ‘You should leave there for now, because the army is about to take action on our behalf.'”
